The Buddha Dhatu Jadi is known as the Bandarban’s Golden Temple. The temple is located near to the Balaghata town, in Bandarban City. It is the largest Theravada Buddhist temple in Bangladesh and has the second-largest Buddha statue in the country.

Bandarban’s Golden Temple belongs to the Theravada Buddhism order, which is practiced by the Marma indigenous people, a dominant ethnic group of Bandarban. It was built in 2000 in Arakanese architecture, an adoption of the South East Asia style.

How to Go The Golden Temple?

At first, you have to reach the Bandarban Town and then hire a jeep or a CNGs. The place is 5KM away from the town and It takes around 15 minutes to reach there. In order to reach the entry gate of the temple you have to go to the top of the mountain. Before entering into the temple you must wear only allowed clothing. Remember that the place is a religious place so don’t wear shoes and don’t wear short dress while entering into the temple.
