Khadim Nagar National Park is a serene and biodiverse protected area located near Sylhet city in Bangladesh. Total area is over 68 acres and the park is a haven for nature lovers! Entire area is sorrounded by green shrubs and trees. This is truly a peaceful escape from the urban hustle. It has diverse plant species, and various wildlife. There are a few number of activities to do in this place such as zip lining, tree climbing, and drinking fresh tea inside the lush green nature.

How to Go

To reach Khadim Nagar National Park you can hire a taxi or a local CNG from the Sylhet City to visit the echo park.

To reach Sylhet City from Dhaka:

  1. By Air: Available domestic flights are NOVOAIR, US-Bangla Airlines, Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd.
  1. By Bus: You can reach Sylhet by bus using Ena Transport (Pvt) Ltd and Hanif Enterprise. There other other bus services but they are not that renowned. You can buy bus ticket here at shohoz.com.
  1. By Train: There are few Intercity Train services available named Kalni Express, Paharika, Jayantika, Parabat, Udayan and Upaban Express. These trains are serving their passengers to travel to different locations like Dhaka, Chittagong, and stops between those tracks. You can have a look at railway’s website for more details.   1. Sada Pathor (White Stones) at Bholaganj upazila. It has a river with crystal clear water flowing over the colorful stones bed. You can enjoy the natural Jacuzzi in the shallow river’s water.
  1. Bichanakandi is similar to the Sada Pathor. You can enjoy the beauty of Meghalaya mountains and a river with crystal clear water and clorfull stones. Boat ride over the river would be fantastic experience.
  1. Ratargul Swamp Forest is a small swamp forest with it’s own unique ecosystem. This place is very quite and calm. You can feel the nature by a boat ride inside the forest.
  1. Khasia Polli is located near Jaflong. It is the home for some indigenous Khasia people. They have their own culture and ethnic belief. You can see large flat tea fields in the Khasia Polli.

Visiting Information

  • Location: Khadim Nagar National Park is situated near Sylhet city, making it easily accessible for both locals and tourists. Distance from Sylhet city is around 20 KM and it may takes 45 minutes to reach there depending on the transport option you use.
  • Entry Fees: There were no entry fees for the visitors during the time we visited at around 2019. We still recommend new visitors to check entry fees and currently possible activities with it’s authorities before visiting the park.
  • Visiting Hours: The park is generally open during daylight hours. It’s recommended to visit during the morning or late afternoon to experience the park’s tranquility.
