  • Fried Bamboo: While you take your breakfast, lunch or dinner, this item is very common in almost all of the hotels in the valley. At first small and soft bamboo which are grown just a few weeks, are cut in small pieces and then fry as traditional vegetables. If it is prepared carefully it can be very delicious and healthy.
  • Bamboo Chicken: Chicken are boiled inside a bamboo. After around 30 minutes the boiling is done and pour in a bowl and then mix with spices. This is one of the most popular item to taste in the Sajek.
  • Bamboo Biriani: Biriani is a great indian food item and found everywhere in the country. In Sajek you may find a unique of of making the biriani which is made inside the bamboo.
  • Bamboo Tea: Never wonder by hearing the name “Bamboo Tea”. This is not actually the bamboo tea, this is just a normal tea served in the Bamboo. This is kind of interesting and environmental friendly serving but taste is not different from a normal tea. Taking a bamboo tea during the moonlit night under the huge banyan tree would be great refreshment for your mind.
  • Momo: This is made with flour and chicken inside. Visit the Sajek helipad during the evening. Here you find many street food items including the local made “Momo”.
  • Corn fry: Local soft corns are fried near the Sajek helipad during the evening. Mixed with tasting salt it becomes tasty street food in this area.
  • Papya & Banana: This fruits are very common in this area. You’ll find fresh papaya, orange, sugarcane and banana in Sajek. You should not miss this healthy fruits while visiting Sajek.
  • Barbi-Q: One of the main attraction in Sajek is the Barbi-Q party. You may arrange this by yourself of contact a hotel to arrange you a Barbi-Q during the dinner. This would be a very enjoyable event to attend with your friends & family members.

  • Lusai Cottage TGB: A group of travel enthusiastic people arranged this cottage and one of the old cottage in this area. It was very popular at the time it was launched but recently it is considered as the moderate quality hotel.
  • Army Rest House: This is very costly and mainly built for Army personnel. But you can still stay here for a cost of 14k BDT (around 120 USD). You get 360 degree view of sajek from the top of this rest house.
  • Larong Resort: This is a remote resort which means it is situated near the Konglak Hill. If you really wants a calm and peaceful staying, you may choose this resort.
